In a dark, unpromising future, hundreds of years beyond us, ecological disaster threatens mankind, and leaves only two alternatives for humanity's continued existence: the engineering of a people who can survive without the air that has become poisoned, or a permanent trek to the stars. A spy, a blind man with extrasensory vision, and a brilliant scientist attempt to prevent humanity from continuing on a downward spiral, and offer the only hope of restoring promise to a seemingly bleak future.
