Description

Meg doesn't like to dwell on her shortcomings, which include a substantial amount of metaphysical mayhem. Meg doesn't stir things up--it's merely that fleeting shadows, noises, and the occasional unwanted visitor seem to always find her. She doesn't have a solution, so she does the best she can, changing houses frequently, whenever a spirit "moves" her. Max is a teacher with an interest in the paranormal. It's not something that meshes well with his day job, but it's definitely his after-hours interest, until he meets Meg, that is. Then he finds that she holds an attraction for him other than her lure for psi action. Meg is fascinated by Turner House, and wants to buy it with her Lotto windfall. It's huge, beautiful, a big investment in her future, but the best part? The lack of paranormal activity. When she meets Max during her initial explorations, she knows she should be warned by his reasons for visiting--as a paranormal investigator. However active Turner House may be for other people, though, it isn't reacting to her. Meg may just be making the biggest mistake of her life--or in finding Max, she may be discovering the way to save it.
