She went to her drawer and pulled out a blue cardigan sweater. It was chilly in the house. After putting it on, she stuck her hands in the pockets to warm them. Then went down into the kitchen to get something to drink. She couldn't get what Frank had said about the killer off her mind. He played up to the women. And never did he want to get one pregnant because he hated children. Everything started coming back into her memory concerning last night. She played it back. She visualized the scene clearly in her mind. "I don't even like children, I hate them," had been his words. All the time Brock had been playing up to her. Brushing himself against her body. He was getting ready for Frank's departure. Of course. He used that to get her to fall for him. Brock. It was Brock. He was the killer. Boy, had she been blind. She recalled the part Frank had told her of carrying the dead body in his trunk. Brock never wanted to use his car when they were together. "Oh, no!" Her attentions turned to Mr. Towers. No Brock couldn't be the killer. Still she had to know. She had to look in that trunk. No wonder Brock was upset. Her getting pregnant had ruined all his plans. When he heard of that, he had really become overwrought.
