David Drew is a fallen giant, a big-league surfer broken after being bested by a huge wave at the legendary Mavericks break at Half Moon Bay. A meeting with the beautiful and mysterious Mya rekindles the fire within him as she whisks him out of the drabness and caution of what his life has become and back into the cauldron of big-wave riding. But there is more to Mya than meets the eye, and before long David finds himself surfing in a world he never knew existed and which will take him to places beyond imagination.
