How do you fight a feral garden? Doloquain, AKA Dolores, has never been stingy with her affections. She's just been accustomed to showering them upon her hungry plants, rather than upon anything remotely human. She's a lonely visitor in a new world, trapped in the dark, when she'd much rather be living under the heat of two suns. Erik Shellard is a bored cop. He's drifted from working days, to skulking dark alleys, to gathering evidence illegally at night. The "evidence" of his eyes, and the photographs he's been taking, tell him there is something very wrong with Dolores' garden. When Erik ventures within the stuccoed walls of Dolores' plant sanctuary, he is almost instantly under attack. The plants want him for his heat source, and Dolores? Far be it from her to deny a source of heat. She can save him from her plants, but she is suddenly uncertain whether she wants to save herself?from him.
