Bio: Vanessa deHart has had a long-standing love affair with the written word. An avid reader, she is no less an avid writer for having written numerous magazine articles, several short stories, a series of children’s picture books (which will be coming out in 2004 under the name Marcella Groot), and a couple of contemporary romance novels. She is currently working on an epic science fiction/fantasy novel.

A displaced Westerner, she is originally from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. She lived in Germany for three years before settling down in Ontario where she has lived for the past fifteen years, eight in the Ottawa region.

Vanessa is married to her own hero, and they have three children along with the requisite cat and dog. Her family is, and always has been, terrifically supportive of her writing career.
