Mandy Rogers

Bio: Hi, I'm Mandy. I've always made up stories in my head, but spending 20 years as a journalist, the only actual writing I did was about real life. Now in my 40s, and retired from daily journalism to educate future journalists, I have the luxury of writing those made-up stories down and find I absolutely love the process. I've always been an avid reader of romance, adventure and thrillers with strong female characters, so I try to put a little of all that into my own stories. Spanking has been part of my fantasies (and reality!) for a long time. My first realization that it was more than just something I looked for in romance novels came in college when my boyfriend at the time got really angry at something stupid and risky I'd done, and suddenly without any warning I was over his knee! I'm not sure who was more surprised... or turned on. Needless to say it wasn't the last time I found myself upended over his lap. I realized then that the feisty, independent woman I was also craved someone stronger who wasn't intimidated by my drive or ambition and was willing to take control sometimes when I felt out of control, or just couldn't seem to do what was best for me. Right now I work at a Midwest university and at home it's just me and my sweet puppy. I have a good friend, almost a big brother, who seems to know just when I need a 'reminder' to stop procrastinating and get my work done, but I hope someday soon to find that special someone. Too many years focusing on a career kind of derailed my personal life, but I now have the luxury of time for that too. In the meantime, I'll just keep dreaming up my idea of Mr. Right and the strong, independent women who drive him to distraction! I'm still relatively new at this fiction writing thing, and am so honored to be among D&D's wonderful writers. I really love to hear your feedback on my stories.
