Edwin Baird

Edwin Baird--an accomplished Chicago pulp writer in the early part of the 20th century--was hired in 1923 to edit a new type of fiction magazine, also being published out of Chicago. That magazine was the classic Weird Tales, and with its launch history was made. Baird's assistants were fellow writers Farnsworth Wright and Otis Adelbert Kline.
